10,000 steps in the right direction

Have you been staying active? Movement is SO important to our health, and even if we're not going to the gym or hardly leaving home, there are ways to stay active. The first step is always the hardest! Here are some ways to get moving.

  1. Walking

If you've been following me on Instagram, you know that I try to get in 10,000 steps every day. For some of you, especially pre-covid, that many steps would come easily. For others, we have to be intentional about getting in those extra steps. Get outside! The change of scenery can be so refreshing. Plot a course around your neighborhood, and use a fitness watch or your phone to track your progress. If you have a treadmill, walk while you answer your emails or while you make a list of tasks for tomorrow.

  1. Hula Hooping

It may remind you of your childhood, but hula hooping is a cost-effective and fun way to exercise! There are tons of ideas online for daily workouts that involve hula hooping. Plus, it's quiet, and you can do it anywhere! Whenever I'm catching up on my favorite shows, I'm either hula hooping or using my little elliptical...

  1. My Little Elliptical®

Definitely not the official name! :) But I use my little elliptical pretty much every time I'm sitting at my desk. I can set it up anywhere in my house so I'm always able to stay active. Even in my pjs! Here's a link!
